Sanjeev (Sunny) Karkhanis

Sanjeev is on the Board of Yoello, a Fintech based in the UK providing contact-less E- Commerce platform to merchants. Previously, Sanjeev has been NED of a regulated bank in Canada, NED of a Non-Profit Educational institution and Member of Divisional Executive Committee of one of largest systemic relevant Banks UBS. In his C level role as Chief Risk Officer, Sanjeev has interacted with Board of Directors and Board Committees, Regulators as well as Key clients. Sanjeev has been part of a successful (Globally ranked number one client facing leadership team responsible for growth agenda as Senior Advisor to family offices and UHNW clients.

Sanjeev is on Advisory Board of Swiss Impact Association which empowers investors to shape society.

Sanjeev is licenced CPA and CFA. He has served as Chief Risk Officer of the largest business division at UBS and Asia-Pacific Region. Over his career, Sanjeev has focused on sustainability and resilience of supply chains business models both from a strategic and risk perspective. Sanjeev considers himself an expert in this area of competency as defined by many regulators.

Sanjeev has worked 10 years in Switzerland/UK, 10 years in the US, 7 years in Japan, 4 Years in Hong Kong and 3 years in India. Sanjeev is American and resident in Zurich. Sanjeev has B1 level proficiency in German and speaks Japanese and Hindi. Sanjeev has built a strong network in Greater China, Switzerland, and the US.

Besides formal Fintech Training at Harvard, Sanjeev has been engaged with Clients in Greater China who have built successful businesses based on digital platforms.  Sanjeev has looked at many business models from a Private Equity perspective as well as commercial application of big data and artificial intelligence.

Sanjeev is an Advisory Board member to Swiss Impact Investment Association. Sustainability was a firm wide priority at UBS, and a key area he focused on for the benefit of clients. As a long-term CFA chartered holder, Sanjeev is engaged in supporting the CFA society in various initiatives including education in ESG Investing.  Sanjeev is passionate about education and is lecturer at a reputed University.
